Des Hague is a serial entrepreneur with an innate ability to deliver success. In January 2015 Hague co founded Hague Enterprises who specializes in providing advisory services, and investment in early stage or turnaround opportunities. Hague also sits on the board of numerous companies and is heavily involved in numerous philanthropic causes.
Between 2009 to 2014, Hague held the position of President and CEO of Centerplate, Inc., which under his leadership became North America’s largest Event Hospitality business, operating predominantly in sports, convention centers and entertainment venues across North America and Europe with over 40,000 employees. Under Hague’s leadership Centerplate won many industry awards including “Best Food and Beverage” by Convene Magazine, “No. 1 NFL Experience” by Stadium Journey, “No1 Best NFL Stadium to Visit” by Thrillist among others.
Prior to Centerplate, Hague was President of IHOP the world’s largest family dining operator. At the same time Hague was a board member of Sbarros and a executive member of the National Restaurant Association.
Hague joined IHOP from Safeway, Inc, where he served as the President of Perishables, overseeing the company’s $20 billion operations and was responsible for the company’s better for you food programs.
From 2003 to 2007 Hague served as Chairman and CEO of Hot Stuff Foods, an international foodservice franchisor with more than 2000 locations worldwide.
Prior to this Hague has held various leadership positions in 7-Eleven, Maytag and PepsiCo in Europe and North America.
Hague’s accomplishments have resulted in over twenty industry awards in his career to date. However, Hague is most proud of having helped raise more than $100M to support various not for profit causes and believes that there is so much more to do.
