To quote the English Poet John Donne, “no man is an island.” In the scope of philanthropy and charitable organizations this holds true as well. To make significant, positive change, individuals and organizations need to cooperate and collaborate. Often time, this is evident in the days and weeks following a natural disaster or a tragic event affecting a large population. Organizations will collaborate without hesitation to help those in need. Other types of organizations pride themselves on effectiveness through their partnerships with local communities and other organizations constantly.

From the BBB Wise Giving Alliance, Johannah Barry, the President of the Galapagos Conservancy is interviewed by H. Art Taylor the President of BBB. Johannah’s organization is involved with marine conservation for specific species native to the waters off of the Galapagos Islands and she does so with the help of local communities and various other organizations. See the video below for the full interview and in depth description of her charity.
